Read more about my journey to becoming a Yoga Teacher...

Back in 2016, I fell in love with yoga. It took me about a year to attend a public class – my practice started at home on my own. Yoga was a way to help me find alternative movement to running, cycling, gym etc as those exercises weren’t for me. It also gave me a way to manage my stress and unwind from work each day.

In 2018 I decided to embark on my Yoga Teacher Training. After an amazing trip travelling around the US and Canada, I returned to the UK and lost my job. It was a really stressful time and my amazing trip was completely shadowed by this. My body handles stress with skin outbreaks.. during this time my skin broke out in welts and I began having allergic reactions.

During this stressful time yoga really helped me – it allowed me time to calm my mind, gather my thoughts and discover myself.

That’s when I made the decision to learn to teach Yoga.

It spent ages to find the right Teacher Training – I decided that I wanted to work alongside my training and chose a 1 year training programme. I completed my Teacher Training with the Seasonal Yoga School. Sue Woodd who is a director at the school is an incredible woman full of knowledge and love.

This year was the biggest journey of my life. Connecting with individuals, learning about yoga, the asanas, pranayama, meditation, philosophy. It was tough.. really really tough but life-changing.

Seasonal Yoga is based on traditional Hatha Yoga but it goes so much further. It enables us to reconnect with our bodies and understand how to live seasonally.

In February 2020, I qualified as a 200hr Registered Yoga Teacher – EEK! Preparing for the assessment and exam was scary, but when it got to the day, I realised I was so ready for this.

Once I qualified, I knew that I wasn’t finished with training and wanted to carry on learning more so I could keep sharing this amazing practice.

I’m currently completing a 50hr Seasonal Yin Training and my 300hr Teacher Training!

I teach Yoga classes in Alton and surrounding areas, 1:1 sessions, workshops and retreats.

It's my vision that we live in a world where self-care, mindfulness and movement is a priority. I want to help people find that connection with themselves and raise their vibration. We all have the capacity to love ourselves, and we all should.

Movement enables us to create a connection with our bodies. We often hold tension and emotions in our bodies – movement helps us unlock and release.

Learn

Learn ways to manage stress, emotions and tension through movement, pranayama (breath control) and relaxation techniques.

Grow

Allow yourself room to grow and discover on this journey as you create a connection with your body and mind.
